Informal observation of artwork.Class Experience
In this art course, students will learn about world-famous artists: Andy Warhol, Picasso, W. Kandinsky, Van Gogh, and Jim Dine. Each day we will talk about one artist and his art style (Pop Art, Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, Impressionism, Modernism) and we will look at the artist's most famous paintings and works of art. There will be a short lecture on each artist and slides will be used as visuals. After that, students will be guided to create their own artwork inspired by this artist. My teaching style is patient and encouraging. Students will be able to ask questions and make comments throughout the class. Students will be able to interact with the teacher and the other students as we make our creations. Students will be able to discuss each artist with the teacher and the other students. Students will be encouraged to share their artwork with the class. No prior art knowledge is needed for this class. Students may need some time outside of class to finish their art projects. Note: Please see the supply list below. My main principle - there are no mistakes in art only happy accidents. Everyone, even young artists, have their own path. I encourage students to add personal touches into their artwork. If this class interests your learner please sign up for the class. I'll take the slot and teach even if it's just one learner. I am excited to meet your learner!
