🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 Hello, students! Welcome to Around the World Storytelling Practice: 1:1 English Grammar and Pronunciation! Do you love to travel? In this class, we will meet each week to discuss amazing cities and landmarks around the world! Each lesson will be focused on building conversational, pronunciation, and turn-taking skills in English while using our imagination. Highlights: 🌼 Magic Hat 🌼 Location/landmark reveal 🌼 Location/landmark fun facts 🌼 Introduce Spider and the story prompts 🌼 Create our imaginative stories! ⭐️ First, students will be given the magic words to make Magic Hat come alive, and we will reveal our location of the day! ⭐️ Then, we will learn some fun facts about the location. ⭐️ Next, students will notice that the pictures have been edited, and they will be given 3 prompts to use to make a silly story and get as creative as possible! ⭐️ Students will be encouraged to come up with elaborate stories related to the prompts and work on adding details, adjectives, etc. to encourage imagination and overall entertainment. ⭐️ While storytelling, students will work on their intonation, word stress, and understand how these skills help make the story more interesting and catch the listener`s attention. The schedule of storytelling topics are below: 🌱 Week of 1/5: China - Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Shang Hai 🌱 Week of 1/12: London - Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey 🌱 Week of 1/19: Dublin - Ha`Penny Bridge, St. Patrick`s Cathedral, Trinity College Library 🌱 Week of 1/26: Positano - Cliffs, Yachts, Pizza 🌱 Week of 2/2: Bahamas - Beach, Pool, Markets 🌱 Week of 2/9: Switzerland - Alps, Yodeling, Chocolate Factory 🌱 Week of 2/16: New York - Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square 🌱 Week of 2/23: Hollywood - Hollywood sign, Movie Studios, Rodeo Drive 🌱 Week of 3/2: Paris - Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Versaille 🌱 Week of 3/9: Cotswolds - Sheep, Cottages, Castle 🌱 Week of 3/16: Amazon - Jeep ride, River cruise, Animal photography 🌱 Week of 3/23: Mount Everest - Climbing gear, Avalanche, Summit 🌱 Week of 3/30: Sahara - Camel rides, Pyramids, Archaeology *Topics repeat back to the beginning* By the end of the course, students will have developed a sense of curiosity and appreciation for the world's landmarks and the cultures they represent.
