Line is an element of design and an essential part of many forms of art. This class offers opportunities to explore line though painting and drawing. We will have a short discussion about lines in everyday life. Students will explore various types of line drawings. Students will learn how to utilize contour lines, cross hatching, and continuous lines. They will add color with their choice of material to enhance their artwork. The teacher will facilitate a discussion on the approaches and choices students made and their impact on the final outcome. Students will create their own picture using the materials they provide. I will be drawing along with the students. This is a step-by-step drawing class. Students also have the flexibility to draw independently and ask for help as needed.
