1 hour per week. If requested by the parent, the student will receive a small amount of practice work to complete between classes.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 11

Beginner - Intermediate Level

The topics covered in this class will be tailored to what the student needs to practice. After enrollment, parents will be asked to complete a questionnaire about the students strengths, weaknesses, major causes of concern. Parents should also discuss how their student likes to learn and and favorite things (hobbies, favorite artists, ect) that could make the class more interesting for their student. I like to teach students through guided questioning. This allows me to understand what the student knows about the subject and how they problem solve. Class will include instruction and practice time using materials provided by the student/parent. I will also incorporate games and videos to enhance learning, when appropriate. If the parent requests homework, it will be provided for the student. This homework should be completed prior to the next lesson and uploaded to the classroom to be reviewed.

Hello! I am very excited for the opportunity to teach your student. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and certified to teach middle grades math and science. I have five years of teaching experience, both in a classroom and online. I love teaching students in an open environment. My teaching style includes guided questioning and open discussion. I offer classes on math, science, chickens, and organizational skills. I am a mother of two daughters, both with special needs, and married for ten years.
