Class Experience
Before students can be successful solving equations, they must be adept at simplifying expressions. In this class, we will be reviewing and practicing the necessary skills to simplify expressions to prepare students for Algebra 1. We will start with the very basic concepts of expressions and review distributive property to properly prepare us for the rest of the lesson. In class will cover: -key features of an expression -the distributive property -identifying like terms -combining like...
Students will improve their understanding of key features of an expression. Students will be able to simplify expressions by using the distributive property and combining like terms.
I am a licensed secondary math teacher with six years of classroom experience. I also hold experience teaching Algebra 1 standardized tests in which my students performed well on a state level and showed growth from previous grade levels.
