This course is designed for all learners, especially those who are neurodivergent (ASD, ADHD, dyscalculia, 2e), gifted, or outside-the-box thinkers who need a more visual, hands-on, and problem-solving-based approach to Algebra 1.

Lesson 1:
What is Algebra? Numbers, Patterns & Variables
 Concept Focus :  An introduction to Algebra, Numbers, Patterns and Variables including a brief history

Lesson 2:
Translating Words into Algebraic Expressions
 Escape Room Challenge: Solve algebraic puzzles 
45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Solving One-Step & Two-Step Equations
 Content Focus: Learn to solve One and two-step equations 
45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Word Problems & Real-World Equations
 Budgeting Game: Plan a budget using equations for income & expenses.

Other Details

Learning Needs
ADHD, Dyslexia, ASD, Dyscalculia , PDA = Hands on ,interactive, engaging, step by step structured yet flexible approach. Visuals and oral communications, in addition to communication through chat will be allowed.
