In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Third-Party Tools: Lumio by SMART This tool will be utilized to make the direct instruction/lecture times interactive, including polls, games, individual practice, and whole-class whiteboards. Students may join as a guest by typing their name in at the start of the lesson. Those who want to access the materials after class may sign in with a Google account, but it is not required for this class. ChatGPT This tool will be utilized during the application phase of our lesson, where students can play in a "sandbox" atmosphere, experimenting on using ChatGPT in ethical ways. This will be guided by the instructor, and if a student is not able to join us on ChatGPT, they are welcome to watch along on the instructor's shared screen. ChatGPT does require a login, and students may use a Google account to do so.
We will be utilizing guidance from the MLA Style Center on how to properly cite generative AI.
