Class experience
At the roots of great stories, what dragons, what treasures await? It's not a bad question to ask, once you start noticing some of the patterns that so many great stories have in common. From Tolkien's Hobbit to Peter Jackson's films, from Super Mario to Undertale and Minecraft, developments in the tales and games we continue to admire share some striking resemblances. We'll begin by briefly eliciting a list from the class. Then, looking a little more closely at just two related story...
Wesley Schantz has taught various Tolkien courses on Outschool for Signum Academy, the branch of Signum University geared towards younger learners.
