“The city of Krakenhold is unlike any other. People of all types gather here creating an endless supply of opportunities for adventure. The best place to be if you want to be the first to hear about new discoveries, hidden treasure, and work to be done. Who you will meet and the journeys you will go on are up to you.” Current Adventure - “Tales from the Yawning Portal - The Sunless Citadel” (Friday’s at 11 am CST) - “Tales from the Yawning Portal - Fortress of Fury” (Every other section) In this On-Going class students will get the opportunity to come and go as they want and works with their schedule. The class is set in a fictional world of my creation, but we will play through a variety of D&D campaigns. Once we complete one campaign, the class will move onto the next. Some of the adventures we will play through are, but not limited to: “Tales from the Yawning Portal” , “Storm King’s Thunder”, and “Hoard of the Dragon Queen”. The class listing will always have the current adventure we are playing so parents may use discretion when enrolling their player. I will always be sure that the adventures I choose are approachable and best fit for my players, but feel free to reach out if you have questions. Players may also submit requests for specific adventures. Each play session will last 90 minutes. Class will always begin with introductions and class rules. New players will join class with a level 1 character. Students may make new characters or they can keep playing the same character for each play session. All characters must be made following the rules provided in the official D&D sourcebooks for 5th edition (Player’s Handbook, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, etc.) This means that students cannot use homebrew (rules they have come up with or rules someone else has come up with) in order to ensure fairness between all players. Along those same lines, if students use their character in other classes/adventures besides my own, they must not use any items they are given in those sessions. At the end of each session players will earn Experience to level up their characters and it is expected that each student manages their character sheet, levels, spells, etc. I can help as needed if there are questions. The classroom will have plenty of opportunities for interaction through fan art posts and regular updates of what is going on in the adventure. This is highly encouraged as it keeps student interaction throughout the week, especially if there are weeks in which your student is unable to join. As a working actor there may be times when class has to be rescheduled or cancelled for a few weeks. I will always inform students and parents ahead of time.

Parental Guidance
Dungeons and Dragons inherently includes fantasy violence. I will always steer my players away from enacting that violence against persons in game, whether other players or non-player characters. If your student has any qualms about playing (I.e they do not like scary moments/ghosts, demons, blood/vivid descriptions, etc) please let me know. I will always put those issues as a priority and want my D&D games to approachable and accepting of everyone and their respective comfort levels.
Supply List
Required Materials : A 5th edition character levels 3-6 only, a set of dice (1d4; 1d6; 1d8; 1d10; 1d100; 1d20), pencil, and scrap paper. If you do not have dice, there are plenty of free apps you can use if you do not wish to buy a set. Otherwise, sets can be purchased easily through Amazon or at comic book/board game stores. Players should have a good familiarity with the game, but I can teach the game as needed as we go along. If your student is not sure how to level up their character now that they have gotten experience from past adventures, then check out the YouTube video listed in the materials.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have 5 years experience of playing and being the dungeon master for Dungeons and Dragons. I have received sensitivity training and de-escalation training through various other jobs that I think provide pivotal in guiding difficult situations. I will alway be sensitive to the needs of my students and will never intentionally put them in uncomfortable situations.
