Class Experience

Hello! Please note that every 2-3 months, we may begin to recycle course material. If your learner has been enrolled long enough and we get to the point where they will be repeating lectures, I will message you in advance so you can decide if they would like to continue or withdraw.

This course will be perfect for teens who are interested in learning more about personal finance. All of the information learned in this class will be practical and applicable to daily life. This is a lecture style course that will be presented with a slideshow. Students are always welcome to ask questions and engage in discussions. However, the basic structure of the course is meant to be short 25 minute lectures in order to ensure that all learners understand the most important information for the topic of the week. Please review the weekly schedule below each week to review the topic we will be covering.

All sections meet *once* per week and are on the same schedule. Please view the schedule below to determine what topic we will be discussing during each weekly meeting.

Important Notes :

*Please note* I am based in the US. While I will try to do my best to explain concepts relevant to other countries, my degree and knowledge base are not necessarily in global finance. Some topics that may be more specific to U.S. students include taxes and how much things cost. All examples in this class will be provided using US dollars. If your child is not from the US, please let me know so that I can provide conversions to enhance their learning experience. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.

***Class times are approximate. Class may end a few minutes early or run a few minutes late depending on number of students, participation, etc.
*** Rapport building is very important for me to connect with my students and help them to learn as best as possible. Please understand that in my class I will likely ask rapport building questions throughout the lesson to engage students in the material. It will not be 25 minutes of straight lecture. However, it is of course always a priority and requirement for me to be sure we meet the lesson objective
