Advanced Level
AP Environmental Science is a rigorous, college-level course designed to explore environmental concepts, issues, and solutions from scientific, social, political, and economic perspectives. This course will be taught in 18 weeks, with 2-3 lesson each week. Each lesson includes a video lecture (20-30 minutes) and written activities or labs to support what students are learning within the lecture. Lessons for the week will be posted each Monday. At the end of each unit, students will have access to a unit assessment which will model the same set up as the AP Exam. The last week of class is dedicated to AP Exam review. During this week students will receive review materials to help them prepare for the AP Exam. I have taught AP Environmental Science for many years and have helped hundreds of students prepare for the AP Exam. To get the most out of this course, students should complete optional homework assignments posted in the course. I will give feedback on assignments each week as students work through the course. You can expect to receive feedback on current weeks’ assignments by the end of the weekend each week. This course will follow the Course and Exam Description as defined by the College Board. Welcome to our APES Class!!
