In this course, your teen will learn the most critical and impactful strategies to gain maximum improvement, fast!

The ACT Exam is a college-entrance test that many teens take to fulfill admissions requirements and more importantly, to qualify for scholarships. The ACT has 4 sections and math is one of the most challenging portions.  The ACT Math test assesses a wide variety of mathematical topics through 60 questions, with only 60 minutes. 
 
In this class, I will help your child raise their ACT math scores quickly using my proven Ace the ACT Formula. 
We will spend our time together learning the most common ACT math topics, applying effective ACT-specific test taking strategies and doing drills to increase answering speed and confidence!
 
Below is a rough breakdown of what we will cover over the course of the class:
*** Week 1 <January 2> Students will complete an Official ACT Math Practice Test. Lesson will be focused on becoming an ACT Expert! Learn all of the specific details about the test.
*** Week 2 <January 9> Students will learn how to strategize. We will establish goals and learn time-saving, guaranteed-success strategies to answer questions quickly and correctly.
*** Week 3 <January 16> Learn the 6 Core areas of Math that are covered on every ACT math exam. Students will learn how to incorporate strategies to use on the Integrating Essential Skills (IES) questions, which make up 40-43% of every ACT math test.
*** Week 4 <January 23> Learn all about Numbers and Quantity. Students will apply real and complex number systems in various forms, including integer and rational exponents, vectors, and matrices. Questions about Numbers and Quantity account for 7-10% of the ACT Math Exam. Students will also complete a Midterm Practice Test to monitor progress and assess growth. 
*** Week 5 <January 30> We will have a deep review of Algebra and how to solve, graph, and mode expressions with equations that reflect linear, polynomial, radical, and exponential relationships; as well as, find solutions to systems of equations. Questions about Algebra account for 12-15% of the ACT Math Exam. 
*** Week 6 <February 6>  Students will focus on Functions and review how to manipulate and translate linear, radical, piecewise, polynomial, and logarithmic functions. Learn how to find and apply features of graphs. Questions about Functions account for 12-15% of the ACT Math Exam.
*** Week 7 <February 13> Students will learn Geometry and review two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. Learn about the composition of objects and find the missing values in triangles (including trigonometric ratios), circles, and other figures. Questions about Geometry account for 12-15% of the ACT Math Exam.
*** Week 8 <February 20> Students will learn how to calculate probabilities of events and interpret distributions of data, data collection methods, and data relationships. Review averages and medians. Questions about Statistics and Probability account for 8-12% of the ACT Math Exam. A final ACT Math Practice Test will be proctored.
