This is a group ACT English Prep workshop class. We will cover both strategies and content for success on the exam. The ACT English section covers grammar and rhetoric. The beauty about this exam is that it covers only the non rule breakers. What does this mean for students? The rules for usage are transparent and solid. With instruction and practice, students can improve both their understanding and confidence with the grammar and rhetoric of not just the test, but English as well. The session will be a combination of lecture and practice. Students will be introduced to all the content and strategies of the test. They will practice the skill and concepts throughout the session. Students will need to download the notebook so they can participate, mark up, and add notes as we move through the content. Students will also have two practice tests for continued practice after the session. Students have to option of scheduling one-on-one sessions if they would like continued guided practice and corrections.
Learning Goals
Students will gain both skill and confidence needed to be successful on both the ACT English Exam and Freshman Composition.

Supply List
Please be sure to print the attached files and put them in a notebook before the session. Students should also have highlighters, pens, pencils, and notecards.
