Class experience
Bring your art supplies and dress to get messy! In this 4 week workshop, we will create charming paintings using different painting techniques. Minimal art experience is necessary. If you can properly hold a paintbrush, then you are ready for this class :) We will learn about proper care of our art supplies, basic brush strokes, and how to mix and blend colors. This is a flexible schedule course and there are no live meetings. Weekly video lessons will be posted in the classroom and students...
Students will learn basic acrylic painting techniques and how to follow step-by-step directions.
Students will need: An art space that is allowed to get messy! Water, paper towels, and a "palate" for paint (tin foil, wax paper, or a paper plate works well) Canvas or heavy duty art paper (11x14 is recommended, but any size is ok) 3 paint brushes: 1 wide, 1 medium, 1 small for detail work Acrylic paint (Craft paint is fine. It can be found at Michael's for $.70) Colors change based on project. We typically use black, white, and the 6 colors of the rainbow.
