Class experience
Bring your art supplies and dress to get messy! In this 4 week workshop, we will create charming paintings using different painting techniques. Minimal art experience is necessary. If you can properly hold a paintbrush, then you are ready for this class :) We will learn about proper care of our art supplies, basic brush strokes, and how to blend colors. Students will need: An art space that is allowed to get messy! Water, paper towels, and a "palate" for paint (tin foil, wax paper, or a paper plate works well) Canvas or heavy duty art paper (11x14 is recommended, but any size is ok) 3 paint brushes: 1 wide, 1 medium, 1 small for detail work Acrylic paint (Craft paint is fine. It can be found at Michael's for $.70) Colors change based on project. We typically use black, white, and the 6 colors of the rainbow.
