Class Experience

Regarding 1-on-1 session availability or any question, please direct message/email me.

Before/After enrolling, I encourage parents to communicate with me about their child's drawing skill level and experience in acrylic painting on canvas. I will adapt the class as the students. Prior to or following enrollment, parents should send me the topics they wish their child to explore. The goal of my class is to raise creativity, develop skills, and inspire confidence in acrylic painting for students of all levels.

All lessons are conducted step by step, where I will demonstrate the process and the kids will follow along. Classes encompass both drawing and acrylic painting lessons. I've structured each session to last 55 minutes. However, the completion of a topic can vary based on its complexity and the individual pace of each student. Some paintings may necessitate more attention to detail, shading, or proportions, which could extend beyond a single session.

Here are some ideas:

For beginners, they can learn to depict clouds, fruits, flowers or any simple scene. Intermediate and advanced students will engage in more precise and detailed work to achieve a heightened sense of realism.

- Nature Scenes: Students can paint scenes inspired by the beauty of nature, such as mountains, rivers, trees, flowers, and fruits.
- Animal Portraits: Students can paint their favorite animals.
- Seasonal Themes: Spring blooms, summer sunshine, autumn foliage, or winter landscapes.
- Seascapes: Depicting waves and sandy beaches.
- Cityscapes: Capturing city streets and iconic landmarks.
- Abstract: Experimenting with abstract forms, colors, and textures.
- Reference Pictures: Students can choose to paint a self-portrait, a family member, or a famous figure.

If no preference is mentioned, I will teach a simple scene.

Kids can use any size of stretched canvas, panels, or papers, and any brand of acrylic colors. I will adjust the materials according to the students' skill levels. It's good to start with paper or an 8x10 inches canvas. For beginners, Apple Barrel and Essentials paints are recommended as they are cost-effective.

Liquitex Basics, Golden, and Winsor & Newton are artist-quality paints. They should have at least these paints: primary blue, primary red, prism violet, cadmium yellow medium hue, mars black, and titanium white. Additionally, they will need brushes (liner, medium, large), a water container, paper towels, and a palette.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you!

My love for art and craft has been with me since childhood, and after completing my academic and design degrees, I began teaching art to kids. Over time, more kids expressed interest in learning, and it kept me deeply engaged with my passion. This led me to establish my own art school. I expanded my horizons by selling my art worldwide and volunteering as an art docent in elementary schools while teaching as an after-school instructor.
I guide students through step-by-step processes, explore different styles, and experiment with various art media.
I offer art lessons to students aged 5-17, both in groups and through private one-on-one sessions. In these 14 years I teach a wide range of art media, including watercolor, oil pastels, acrylics, oil painting, sculpture painting, color pencil techniques, sketching, and shading.
Let's embark on this creative journey together!
Besides art and craft, I also love cooking, watching movies, going on hikes in nature, and most importantly, spending quality time with my two lovely kids and my husband.
Thank you!
