In this class, learners will gain an introduction to electronics, whether as a hobby or as a potential future career pathway.
Class experience
I aim to promote electronics as a hobby - maybe leading to a career. I wish to introduce students to the subject (for the younger group members), and assist the older members with school projects - or of course their own personal projects, if this is requested. I remember my own 'craft, design and technology' lessons when I was in the younger part of the target range (11 to 12 years), which is the first two years of secondary school here in the United Kingdom. As I am from a background in Electronic Engineering, I aim to provide some background knowledge into how all those electronic devices, which are a central part of all our lives in this modern age, actually work, as well as providing some background knowledge about electronics as a discipline (and a potential career pathway), which will extend beyond mere curiosity!
I have a first degree in Electronics and a masters' degree in Computer Science, and I am currently working on electronics devices suitable for the African market.
