Class Experience
Beginner Level
Welcome to Mr. Axel's studio! In this class, students will learn the anatomy of the instrument and basic Ukelele techniques to end up playing a song at the end of the class. We will explore some guitar exercises, adding a few basic tunes and musical examples through the visual and listening material. My teaching approach is interactive, using a combination of engaging activities, demonstrations, and games to help students apply the concepts taught. I have been an active orchestra member in the past years, playing with various ensembles, including New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Southwest Symphony Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, and Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.
Aside from performing, I have an extensive background and a great passion for teaching. I have been involved in multiple projects in the past, where I showed my dedication as a music educator. I taught at Harmony Program's Summer Camp at The Juilliard School (New York) as a Teaching Artist, Preparatory School of Music at Lynn's Conservatory of Music (Boca Raton), Houston Youth Symphony CODA Music Program, Vivace International School of Music, Houston (Texas), and Zeta Charter Schools (New York), among others.
