Let's celebrate the holidays as we read aloud a story, "A CHRISTMAS PUPPY," by Julie Connor. We will talk about our favorite holiday traditions and everything we love about this ho-ho-happiest time of the year. Learners will also learn easy steps to draw A CHRISTMAS PUPPY. Materials for the art activity include (1) a sheet of white paper, (2) a black marker, pen, or pencil, and (3) crayons or markers. Dr. Julie Connor, Ed.D. is a master storyteller, art enthusiast, and an interactive, highly engaging educator with 30+ years of online and classroom teaching experience. Prior knowledge needed for this class: 1. Listen to a story and identify details. 2. Participate in a class discussion. 3. Pronounce and define jingle, ornament, reindeer, sparkle, twinkling 4. Follow step-by-step directions. 5. Use markers, pencils, pens, or crayons for drawing. Children will have opportunities to listen, discuss, sharpen oral reading skills, and practice following directions. No art experience is required.
Learning Goals
Learners will be able to:
1. Define story vocabulary including jingle, ornament, reindeer, sparkle, twinkling
2. Read aloud a holiday story, "A CHRISTMAS PUPPY."
3. Identify details from a story they read aloud and listened to in class.

Scary content is not allowed in this class. We enjoy fun and laughter and holiday good cheer together!
Some parents may object to use of the word, "Christmas," in this class, but it is not referenced to discuss religion. The word, "Christmas," is used to discuss the holiday.
