Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Children in grades 1 - 3 (ages 6 - 9) will have fun participating in conversations and strengthening listening skills. Students are not required to attend these classes in order.

* We begin class with "Show & Tell" experiences. Children bring favorite books, projects, games, toys, art work, or describe personal experiences.

* Children participate in interactive games, songs, and art activities to encourage speaking and listening with one another.

* Although we do not do art activities in every class, I encourage students to bring something to write with (pencil, dry erase marker, etc.) and something to write on (paper, whiteboard, etc.) to every class.

Children will gain confidence as they practice new skills and receive encouragement in a safe and positive environment with a nurturing teacher.

Learners are encouraged to turn their video cameras "on" so they can be actively engaged throughout this highly interactive class.

English language A1 proficiency is needed for this class. Learners who can engage in simple conversations about everyday subjects will enjoy this class.

Pre-Requisites
Students practice conversation skills, including: * listening * speaking * taking turns * following directions * showing respect to others Students who are disrespectful or refuse to follow directions will be removed from the classroom.
Supply List
Students can bring a favorite object, book, art work, or special item for "Show and Tell" at the beginning of every class.

I encourage students to bring something to write with (pencil, dry erase marker, etc.) and something to write on (paper, whiteboard, etc.) to every class. Although children do not participate in art activities every week, they often draw and use pencil and paper for different activities.
