1 hour per week. Teens will complete and share a short Interview INTERVIEW INTRODUCTION for Day 2 of the interview class. An outline for the interview introduction will be provided to students. Creating and sharing this interview introduction will be very beneficial for teens as they respond to future interview questions.Class Experience
US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
Teens learn how to respond to interview questions with confidence in this highly interactive two-day class. The interviewing skills discussed and practiced in the class provides teens with opportunities to: * Appropriately introduce themselves with confidence. * Answer specific interview questions about themselves. * Share information with the interviewer in ways that highlight their unique gifts and talents. * Respond to tricky questions such as how they might respond in different situations. * Use appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication skills that reflect positive listening skills. * Clearly explain short-term and long-term goals. * Master specific interview skills that reflect courtesy and give you an interview advantage. * Complete a short Interview INTERVIEW INTRODUCTION for Day 2 of the interview class. DAY 1: Teens learn basic communication skills required to successfully navigate an interview situation with positive self-assurance. DAY 2: Teens will share a short INTERVIEW INTRODUCTION summary about themselves that includes personal skills and character qualities. They will also practice one-on-one scenarios with the instructor and students in the class. Dr. Julie Connor, Ed.D., is a seasoned educator who has taught interview skills in middle school, high school, and college classrooms. She is a TED and school assembly speaker who also teaches Outschool public speaking classes. Teens will learn public speaking tools that will positively impact future interview experiences.

Pre-Requisites
Participants should have knowledge of the English language as well as basic English speaking and writing skills.
Participants must be able to understand interview questions and respond to the questions in English and in complete sentence
