Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Come have fun while learning about the classic novel A Christmas Carol By Charles Dickens. Students will pick parts to act out such as the main character Scrooge, a stingy businessman who is visited by three spirits of Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Crachit whose son Tiny Tim will play a big part in changing Scrooge's heart. Or Fred, Scrooge's nephew who loves his Uncle and sees a part of him no one else sees or lend your voice to the 3 spirits and more. Participating in a play with other students allows students to gain confidence, be creative, and express themselves. Students will be guided through the play with me and can ask questions and interact with fellow students.
The first class will be an introduction to the play, a quick skim of the play, and assigning each part. The second class will be the production with student's interpretation of their parts. They may make costumes or props to help get them into their part. There will be a discussion at the end of class to see what the students have learned through guided questions.

Learning Goals
