 Week 2
Lesson 2
Multi-Digit Multiplication (Two by Two and Three by Two)
Students will learn how to multiply two digit by two digit numbers using standard algorithm, and conclude with three digit by two digit numbers.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Multi-Digit Multiplication (Three by Three)
Students will review previous lesson and build on to skill by multiplying three digit by three digit numbers.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Multi-Digit Division
Students will learn how to divide using standard algorithm using two digit and three digit dividends, using two digit divisors.
Unit 2Fractions

Fractions
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Adding Fractions/ GCF/LCM
Students will review parts of a fraction, as well as greatest common factors for simplifying fractions. Students will work with common and uncommon denominators to add together using least common multiples (denominators) to solve.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Subtracting Fractions
Students will review least common multiples and subtract common and uncommon denominator fractions.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Multiplication of Fractions/ Improper to Mixed Fractions
Students will review how to multiply fractions multiplying numerator by numerator and denominator by denominator. Students will practice converting mixed numbers to improper, and improper to mixed.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Division Of Fractions
Students will practice working with fraction operations, and divide fractions using "keep, change, flip", reinforcing multiplying by the reciprocal.
Unit 3Decimals

Decimals
 Week 9
Lesson 9
Adding and Subtracting Decimals
Students will review multidigit operations through adding and subtracting decimals, aligning the decimal and bringing the decimal down.
 Week 10
Lesson 10
Multiplication of Decimals
Students will review multi-digit multiplication and will multiply decimals, learning how to determine placement of decimals through place values.
 Week 11
Lesson 11
Division of Decimals
Students will review multi-digit division, learning where decimals go for placement.
 Week 12
Lesson 12
Review of Decimals
Students will review all concepts of decimals for review for final assessment.
Students will learn how to work through multi-digit multiplication and division (reviewing addition and subtraction).

Students will also learn how to add and subtract common and uncommon fractions, using Least Common Multiple to convert, and Greatest Common Factor to simplify, convert improper and mixed numbers, multiply and divide fractions.

Students will review adding and subtracting decimals, and learn to multiply and divide decimals by using multi-digit multiplication and division and learning where to place decimals.
I have taught as a 6th grade math teacher for one year, 5th grade math teacher for two years, and served as a private mathematics tutor and home-bound instructor for over 6 years. I have taught elementary math, as well as review classes, unit classes, and private tutored in mathematics on Outschool since January 2019. I have worked with various students from various backgrounds to help them master mathematics for over 10 years as a teacher, meeting the needs of various learning styles and needs. I am very familiar with digital learning and how to work with students online, including interactions and helping students understand material. I also integrate review for students to practice to show me how they are progressing. I stay on after the session ends if students need a bit more review, and offer tutoring to assist.
Homework Offered
Students will be provided practice per concept. The number of practices will vary by skill. Answer keys will be provided with assignments.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
A virtual quiz will be made available at the end of each unit, and can be used for evidence for grades. A written report is available upon request by topic, including quiz scores.
Grades Offered
Practice sheets will be provided weekly after each session to allow students to practice the skill we reviewed that week. Students will need pencil and paper to work problems out throughout class each session.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Please ensure your student practices the skill sets with the supplemental material to ensure students learn the most material. Answer key is provided (not for quizzes however-please contact for that information).

Students will be given practice in both a digital form and paper for ease of access for families (Google Docs will be used for families wishing to complete assignments digitally, while PDFs will be provided if printing is preferred). An account is not needed for access.

Students will have access to Kahoot for reviewing strategies and extra practice with each unit. An account is not needed for access.

Students will also be given access to Khan Academy for additional enrichment. An account is not needed as one will be created for the student to use.
Students will receive practice from the teacher available as both digital (Google Docs) or paper if preferred. Quizzes will be available on Google Forms (link will be sent out at the end of each unit to assess understanding). Kahoot links will be sent for each unit to permit practice.
