Class Experience

In this class students will review 3rd grade math problems while pretending to virtually trick or treat in a Minecraft themed lesson I have made. We will NOT be playing the video game Minecraft in this class. Student do NOT need the game Minecraft to take this class. It is designed to be a "Minecraft themed" lesson. Students are encouraged to wear costumes of any kind and bring snacks to eat during class.

This class will begin with a brief introduction of all students. Students can quickly show off their costumes while saying hello! Students will then load into our Kahoot game to be able to interact with the lesson. This will allow students to be able to individually enter their answers to math questions in class. The Kahoot game is not intended to be a competitive game.

We will then begin answering 3rd grade math questions together as a class as we pretend to virtually trick or treat through my lesson. I created a fun lesson with Halloween/Minecraft themed slides for students to follow along in class. Students can bring snacks or candy to help simulate our online Halloween trick or treating experience. After completing the math lesson/trick or treating students can discuss how they will spend their Halloween this year! This part of the class may be skipped if we end up doing math all the way to the end of class.
