Hello and welcome!
My name is Ms. Lauren and I look forward to meeting your learner in my classroom!
I am an experienced elementary school teacher. I have taught in a traditional Brick and Mortar classroom for nine years. I have experience teaching 2nd, 4th and 5th grade. As an elementary school teacher, I teach all of the core subject areas such as reading, writing, grammar, science, social studies and math. When I’m not teaching in a traditional classroom you can find me teaching online with Outschool. Teaching is my profession as well as my hobby.
I have the educational background to be a successful teacher. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching specializing in Reading and Language Arts, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education specializing in Integrated Sciences, and hold elementary teaching credentials for Michigan, Illinois, and Colorado. Currently, I am working towards earning my endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language. Education is my passion!
I currently live in a suburb of Chicago. When I am not teaching online or in a traditional classroom I enjoy walking my dogs and spending time with my son. I also enjoy swimming, hiking, skiing and cooking. I look forward to connecting with your student in my classroom!
