This is a live experience class where the entire time is lecture and practice.  The students will interact with instruction, guided practice, group practice, and presentation skills.  The goal is a performance target of 80% or higher.  The student will be called on to help complete the guided practice and practice portion of the class.  Students will be shown a problem on the whiteboard inside Zoom.  From there, students will be shown how to complete the problem.  Each class period we will practice the skill in the title of the class.  Together I will instruct and the students will learn algebra skills.  The final portion of each class, the students will be asked how to complete the problem and present the steps to the entire class.  There are 5 classes in total and the classes meet everyday for one week.  Here are the topics for each class:  1.  Adding positive and negative numbers.  2.  Add or subtract numbers in equations.  3.  Combine Like Terms.  4.  One-step equations.  5.  Two-step and multi-step equations.  Each Student will be expected to respond and answer the simple questions.  Have a calculator handy, as we will, step-by-step, show how to answer correctly.  Students are encouraged to work together so the group can reach its target performance.  The performance target is to have the students explain the test questions at 80% or higher.   

After each class students will be given access to an exercise page to practice the skill taught that class period.  Feedback via email will be given to those who need extra practice outside class time.
