1:1 Guided Reading for Dylexia Focused on Decoding, Fluency, and Comprehension

Does your child hate it when it’s time to read? Are tears and sadness their response? Fear not! I’ve taught hundreds of children to read joyfully! Every child can read with specially designed instruction, strategies, and a reading coach that is patient, loving, and understanding! I have been particularly successful with students who have learning differences or Neurodivergent needs. 
Using targeted, research-based materials, I will guide your student through skills towards independent reading. 
Guided reading is a teaching style that allows students to receive immediate feedback and comprehension strategies as they read. Students can focus so hard on decoding that comprehension gets lost. Using notes, highlighting, and immediate feedback, students will grow by leaps and bounds!
My teaching style is to combine positivity and patience to gradually increase student skill and attitude towards reading. Because the class in one to one, I can focus solely on the needs of the learner, adapting as necessary. Additionally, we can incorporate age-appropriate motivational strategies to keep the student focused and engaged!
