Beginner Level
Fourth grade math can be difficult for parents to assist with because the way that we teach math today is much more complex than when you and I were in school! Following these basic steps, along with a little magic and mischief, students will be ready to take on fourth grade math, or as a support for fourth grade math. It can also be remedial for rising fifth graders. Using Socratic method, involving the students in the important questions related to the topics, and using other basic strategies, your student will excel in fourth grade math!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in Special Education
For the last 30 years, my life had centered around education. I earned my degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Specific Learning Disabilities. My own children were diagnosed with dyslexia, so I became a Master Reading Teacher. My youngest also had Asperger's Syndrome, Sensory Integration issues, and multiple other autoimmune and health issues. I have taught in public, charter, and private schools in an attempt to find appropriate services for my own child. I am an expert in dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, anxiety, ASD, and a multitude of other issues that can negatively impact learning. I believe that education should be clinical, or designed specific to the needs of your child. I also believe that it must be compassionate, focusing on the needs of the whole child. Therefore, I will offer classes in reading, reading remediation, writing, creative writing, and coping with anxiety and ADHD for children and adults of all levels.
Fun facts about me: I love to play acoustic guitar! I live in Florida near the beaches and love to swim and scuba dive! My children are grown and out of the house, so I have the time to teach more, in addition to enjoying life! I hope that if you feel I can be a help to you and your family, that you will reach out and give it a chance!
Thanks so much!
