US Grade Kindergarten - 3

In this class, your child will learn the basics of writing and how to enjoy writing while also learning amazing animal facts. Want to give the class a try? Use code LEARNIPFJG3 for $3 off. *Check out the video to see what it looks like in the class!!! 📝 What to expect in class: Each session kicks off with an introduction to a new writing strategy, followed by a deep dive into our animal of the week. To reinforce learning, we focus on the same writing skill for two weeks, giving students time to master each concept. After the introduction, we will practice the skill by writing together using teacher-provided prompts. In this engaging and interactive class, young writers will begin an exciting journey through the animal kingdom while learning how to craft sentences. Perfect for kindergarten to 2nd-grade students, this class combines the fun of discovering new animals with essential writing skills. This class reinforces the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) listed below. Students will have fun learning fascinating facts about animals around the world. They will practice the new skill by completing the prompt and practicing the new writing skills 📝 What your child will gain from this class: - Writing Skills: Practice constructing sentences with proper punctuation and capitalization. - Creativity: Express their ideas and stories through writing. - Animal Knowledge: Learn fun and interesting facts about animals from all over the world. - Geography: Discover where different animals live and their unique habitats. - Vocabulary: Expand their word bank with animal-related terms and more. ⭐ Printouts are provided before class, but this class can be completed using just a piece of paper. Optional practice prompts are provided after each class to reinforce each new skill taught. Teacher and parent communication is important to us. 📝 As teachers and parents, we understand the importance of communication between parents and teachers. We communicate with parents to share our feedback and suggestions. We also encourage you to reach out to us with any questions, comments, or concerns. We are here for you and your students. With that being said, please make sure you have your communication settings turned on so you will be notified when correspondence is sent. - After class, we also provide parents with the details of what was taught, and students will receive a writing practice on the same topic. - We are friendly, patient, and encouraging teachers who meet students where they are academically to help them see success. - This class is offered throughout the year. ⭐Common Core State Standards addressed in the class. ⭐ CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.1.1 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.
