Use code LEARN9L4PX5 to save $5 today! In this 5-week course, students will learn the skills necessary to become a more effective student and to study more efficiently. Unfortunately, most students are never taught how to study. Learning to be a better student can reduce study time and lead to better grades. When students learn how to learn, they have more success in school and life. In my 20+ years of teaching study skills, I have found that it is important to share with the parents what I am teaching the students so that when our time together is done, you can reinforce and review these skills with them. Therefore, I encourage you to watch the replay of the class. The recording will be made available after each class. You will also receive an after-class email describing what we covered along with some questions to help you engage your learner in that day's material. The class is teacher-led with a lot of student participation and practice throughout the class. Students will be sent any materials needed before class. They will also receive handouts after each class that coincide with the class topic. I also give suggestions for what should be practiced each week after class. Although this is a group class, we try hard to individualize the class to meet the specific needs of each student. Feel free to share with us any specific concerns you may have. If you are on the fence about this class for your student. I encourage you to sign your student up and have them attend the first class. If after the first class, they or you do not feel that the class is right or I am the right fit, you will be refunded for the remainder of the sessions. As with anything, practice makes progress. Study skills need to be practiced just like basketball or dancing. Students will be asked to practice the skill taught and share their experiences in the following class.
