This painting represents my memories of summer holidays spent in Poland at my grandma’s countryside home. Every summer I would visit her, and the landscape around the village was full of golden fields and large round hay bales after the harvest. I remember the warm sun, the smell of fresh grass and straw, and the peaceful feeling of being surrounded by nature, which contrasted so much with what I am used to living in New York City.

I love anime. It is my favorite thing to draw and watch! My dogs inspired my piece because they are very cute and I love them very much. We just got a new puppy last week. I also like boba tea and ice cream so I added that. I had to keep drawing it and finally succeed.

My name is Sercie and I love drawing people and their expressions. I have five siblings (three biological), so I’m always surrounded by different personalities that inspire my art. This piece is inspired by a homeschooled Olympian and the quiet strength it takes to follow your own path. I created it with markers and pen, focusing on emotion in the eyes and face. Art is my escape and a way to capture the stories I see in people.

I love sports and art. I usually draw and paint with water color but was inspired by my older brother to start painting in procreate. The rain storm makes me feel annoyed and stressed until I see the rainbow. First I’m sad because the rainbow is broken, but I notice the rainbow can still reform so then I am happy because it means the sun is coming up. I hope you will enjoy my work.

I was inspired to draw this colorful abstract cat because I am obsessed with cats. the colors in the back are like me because i am hyper and colorful. I am not here to win just to show my art and If I do that would be nice so I can buy some books and do more clubs. I hope you enjoy looking at my art.

Drawing is my greatest passion, and my dream is to one day connect this creative drive to my future career. This piece is about finding peace in overwhelming situations. The deep blue water represents heavy or isolating surroundings, while the bright, golden light radiating from the figure's chest symbolizes untouchable inner joy and resilience. It captures the exact moment of a weightless, happy buoyancy. Looking at this artwork makes me feel calm and relaxed.

Something about me is that I like to play sports and I like math challenges. I drew this because it was sort of like the movie Inside Out with all the emotions people feel everyday. It makes me feel good because I worked hard on it and it is like a rainbow of emotions.

Hi, I'm Kait. I love drawing and crafting with my mom. It's how I express myself. My mom and aunt inspired my piece. They are two of the strongest women I know. When I look at this drawing it gives me a warm comforting feeling almost like their strength is wrapped around me.

I love to draw, especially with watercolours. I love nature and how bright and colourful butterflies are! It makes me feel relaxed and happy because of the beautiful sky and landscapes. The butterfly makes me feel inspired because it makes me think about all the awesome nature on earth!

I like writing mystery stories. I drew this picture of the Benevolent Lodge Mystery Group to incorporate into a story idea. As I drew, I felt like I was stepping into their world—almost like I was one of the members. It made me feel curious, imaginative, and proud, because the more I worked, the more the group’s personality came to life on the page.

I'm Alex, I enjoy reading, writing, and art, which are all passions Outschool has helped me explore! My piece of art is based on a photo I took of Split Rock Lighthouse on a trip along Lake Superior. I wanted to make a picture out of a good memory, and I feel happy every time I see it!

Hi!My name is Alice and I am 6 years old. One day I laid down in the grass and looked up — the flower was SO BIG, bigger than my whole head! I thought: this is what it feels like to be a tiny bug. So magical! I painted the big flower, a bee (bees are flowers' best friends), hearts because nature fills my heart, and a mushroom (little bug houses). LOTS of colours because nature has lots! The world is SO BIG and SO BEAUTIFUL and I'm just a tiny little girl in it. Everyone should look up sometimes.

I'm Ella-Gayle. I love to read, and I especially enjoy drawing. I have been drawing my whole life. I do digital art as well. My favorite Outschool classes are 'Draw Every Day' with Mr. Dustin and 'Procreate Studio' with Ms. Uli. I call this drawing "Meg", and it was inspired by Disney Princesses. It makes me feel like I am a Disney Character Designer. When I grow up, I want to be a famous artist.

My name is Lauren. I love making art. I am a caring person and love to make new friends. My piece is inspired by my love of reptiles and dragons. It makes me feel proud of my artwork. Shout out to my art teacher Abeera for helping me make beautiful masterpieces.

While working on painting an ocean wave, I was inspired by the curl at the tip of the wave. It reminded me of a dragons snout, so I continued painting it until my wave became a complete dragon. Looking at this dragon makes me happy because of how much I love reading about dragons and fantasy.

Hello! My name is Arberleah but most people call me Leah. I live in a small town and have been homeschooled my whole life, so I have always had lots of time to explore my passions. What I am most passionate about is my art. Recently I have been getting back into reading and exploring fictional worlds once again, and now images come to me so vividly as i read, I just have to get them out of my head and onto canvas. I hope my art can remind everyone to never stop looking for inspiration.

My art piece was made in Procreate and I was inspired by nature, especially flowers and vines. Vines are all about growth, climbing with determination and strength. When they bloom, it is being reborn into something new and lush, so I put that thought into how I designed the artwork.

My name is Parker and I made this piece based off of a musician I really like named Marino. In some of his videos he calls himself the homeless marshmallow so that's why I named the piece this. He is someone that inspires me and that's why I made this piece.

I have been a natural artist since I was little. My art styles are mainly realism and anime. This art piece, “Aileen”, was inspired from some of the work of a professional anime artist and is my newest original character. In this piece, I tried to include some defining details of her personality and her own style choices. She sports a playful expression, sailor outfit and bangs. She may inspire me to draw anime more often in the future as I feel she showcases my artistic capability.

I made this piece because I love dogs and mice. I think that this piece is very colorful, and I like anything that is colorful, especially if it explodes. Mickey made a cake, and Pluto wanted it, but Pluto is a dog, and dogs aren't supposed to eat certain types of cake. Mickey baked Pluto a dog-friendly cake, so they can eat cake together. I showed my mom and she liked it. I was a bit surprised because she hates mice, but she told me that Mickey wasn't a mouse for some reason. I'm very confused.

Howdy, I'm Savannah, and I made it! Whoo hoo! Anyways, why this inspired me was because I adore books, dragons, and playing the keyboard. Each one inspires me greatly, so why not put all of them together? This is Daydream Mirage, and maybe one day it won't be so much of a mirage.

Hi! I am James, and I like to express myself through art. I drew this specific piece a few years back for a project at my school. It is supposed to be an artistic self-representation, filled with patterns and objects that I like or that are important to me. Once the outline was completed, I separated the head into sections (some are special shapes). Then I slowly and carefully filled the entire large page with my artwork, using a pen to draw over it all again a second time! I'm proud of my work.

This piece shows my peaceful moment of resting in nature with animals. I was inspired by how calm it can feel to lie in the grass and spend time around animals. It makes me feel relaxed and reminds us to appreciate quiet moments and the outdoors. I made it with gauche and colored pencils, more of a mixed media piece.

I am Olivia and I can finally draw a human body with porportions. My teacher has been so inspiring and has made me so confident in my art. This piece makes me feel like I am at a Paris fashion show in the front row. It makes me feel so happy, all the way to my soul that I created that. Thank you for this class!

I'm a digital and traditional artist; digital for four years and traditional for eight. What inspired me to make this piece was how my mind works, how I imagine myself when I come up with a story or world idea and how I'm able to pick up a pen and make it come to life. It makes me feel at peace and at home.

So I like to draw a lot of buildings, ranging from small lodges, to big skyscrapers. I got inspired by all the books I read (I read, a LOT), and decided to make a Storybook row about the fairytales. It makes me feel kinda' magical you know, like all these little details that make it feel alive.
This piece was inspired by me wanting to make my very first animation from start to finish. I learned how to use Procreate Dreams in my OutSchool class. And I came up with a simple story, made a storyboard, and then turned it into an animation which was very exciting. I also added sounds to make it more immersive. This project helped me learn a lot, and it shows my first step into animation.

I am a lover of all things found in nature and feel truly inspired being in it. This artwork was inspired by the bison at my local national park, and how they often have large groups of birds following them. I would like to give a special thanks to Nikki Toews, for helping me become the artist I am today.

My name is Sebi and I love penguins. I invented a world where there's a team of Ninja Penguins that save other animals and defeat evil bad guys. In this painting they're celebrating after saving all the other penguins that were captured by Evil Richard and put in a zoo. They're all free now and the Ninja Penguins are having tea! Ninja Kick KaPow!

Hi! I'm Sasha. I'm 11 years old. I've never done something like this before, so I'm really excited! This is cover art for a book I'm writing called Enemies and Elements. I designed the cover to look like the four elements - Fire, Earth, Water, Wind. In the middle, I subtly added a fifith element, Darkness. I really hope you like it, and my book should be coming out soon!

I’m an autistic artist. I draw to better understand the world around me. This is a gouache painting I did during a recent frigid spell here where temps were hitting -40. It calmed me to think of the animals tucked safely away.

Hello 👋 I am Finlay and I LOVE drawing dragons! This piece was inspired by my favourite book series 'Wings Of Fire' and it's this dragon's final moments of peace before venturing out to battle at dawn, wondering if it will be his last. It makes me realize how far I have come with my art and dragon drawings.

I love animals, especially my lamb Daisy. Spending time with her has helped me notice how playful and full of personality lambs can be. Watching Daisy run, jump, and explore inspired me to imagine a story where she could jump right out of a book and into the real world. Creating this piece made me feel happy and proud. It reminds me of the joy I feel when I spend time with Daisy. I hope people who see my artwork feel the same sense of fun, imagination, and love for animals that inspired me.

This piece reminds me of my first art class on Outschool. I could never get into art, I tried but was always frustrated and unsatisfied with the outcome. I found a digital art class on Outschool and was immediately impressed with the teacher. He made digital art not only engaging but achievable to someone like me. In my first class he showed me his planet art, much like this one. It was amazing, and I was doubtful I could achieve this level. So this piece is special to me and how far I've come.

Hi. My name is Evelyn. I have been making art since I could use my hands. This piece began as a prompt in one of my art classes but ended up being one of my most treasured works. To me, this piece portrays sadness and loneliness. I hope it makes you feel something as well.

My name is Caroline. My artwork is inspired by NASA’s female astronauts who have helped expand human exploration of space. Their courage inspire me to dream about the future, to become an astronaut and explore outer space, to help humanity better understand the universe. The red and white koi (fish flowing around the astronaut’s helmet ) are known for swimming upstream, representing humanity’s determination to overcome challenges and push beyond limits even when faced with uncertainty.

Hi, I'm Samantha! My art piece was inspired by mindfulness and self-reflection. I chose the words aspiring, peace, hope, love, passion and reflection because they inspire and resonate with me. I love art because it is a beautiful way to express yourself and inspires hope.
Being autistic, I know stress and anxiety. Social life, school, and more- the list goes on. However, there are always two things I know help me: gaming and art! Taking a moment away and gaming in peace helps me feel calm and relaxed. I put those strong feelings into this animation. I spent a lot of time on this piece! I focused on lines, shapes, color language, and value when drawing. My biggest hope for this piece is that you relate to and/or remember this piece before you go to bed tonight.

I’m 9 years old. I love drawing, swimming and being with my brother. I love art because I can express myself and my ideas flow to the paper! I am inspired by my thoughts, activities and favorites! I love drawing with my Outschool art teacher, Sandra Goodwin!

After a fire ripped through my community and burned my home, I discovered Mary Cassatt. Mary was not only an inspiring woman, she was also a woman who allowed people to have "modern wings." She inspired others to soar above expectations and young girls to take hold of their futures. In her murals, Mary depicted women defying boundaries set for them and this brought me a sense of belonging. In a world of hurt and hatred, community can be defined by women, for women, and with women at the center.

Hi, I'm Artemis, and I enjoy making art! I'm a bit of what some people would call a "weird kid", and I'm actually proud of that, because I'm "weird" because I make dragon puppets! I also animate and make short comics. The inspiration for this piece was the crunching that the leaves made when I walked, and the beauty of nature. I'm really proud of this piece, because it's the first time I've used this artstyle with still life. It's like the art is telling me to go on a walk in the forest!

I looked at a picture book of different styles of art and wanted to draw something like it, I didn't use the book but loved how different pictures looked. I sat down in my Grandma's kitchen and started drawing. I love my picture because I found I love drawing like this and it makes me happy.

I just moved to a new house and there is a horse across the street that has become my new best friend. He comes to the fence to greet me and I love to feed him carrots and he loves to see me everyday. He loves when I pet him and cuddle his nose and I actually love it too just as much as he does.

I really love to paint sunsets so when I heard about this contest I knew I had to make a huge one! This painting shows a flock of birds flying south over a forest at sunset. When I look at this painting I can't help but wonder, are the birds flying towards something or are they flying away?

I made this piece in my art class when we were learning about glitch art, taught by Mrs. B. It inspires me because glitch art isn't supposed to look perfect; its messy, creative, it can be whatever you want it to be. Also, Stitch is wild and free, he's expressing himself. And isn't that what art's all about? I made this using markers, white acrylic paint, and a plain graphite pencil.

Hello, my name is Annabella. I used a wide variety of B pencils. I used the pencils 2B, 4B, and 6B. These pencils make your drawings more realistic and stand out. My drawing is called "Out in the Wild" because I love the wilderness, and it depicts a live leopard in the jungle. What inspired my piece was a picture of a real fierce leopard on a branch; it just caught my eye. What really had me struggling was shaping the body. I hope you love my drawing as much as I do.

I love painting, especially with watercolor. My family went on a trip to Japan, and I got to see the beautiful buildings and landscape of the place which inspired me, and I really liked Mount Fuji and the pagodas, both of which I decided to add to my picture. It feels peaceful to look at, since you feel like you are there with the lady in the pink flower kimono, watching her make ripples in the water.

This piece of art is inspired by a painting I enjoy looking at. I could imagine the fishermen heading out early in the morning hoping to catch a lot of fish and maybe see some whales and the beauty of the ocean. They would return home exhausted but nets filled with fish and their family happy to see them.

I really like drawing and listening to music, so I wanted to make a picture that shows both at the same time. I got the idea because sometimes when I’m outside, the wind and the trees sound like a song, and it makes me feel calm and happy. It’s like nature is making its own music. I also see butterflies and birds in my backyard and all the flowers blooming. I hope when people see it, they feel calm too and maybe think about the sounds around them in a new way.

Hello everyone, My name is Debasmita and I am a creative teenager who enjoys drawing, piano, and public speaking. I have drawn the famous “Hogwarts Castle” from the Harry Potter franchise. I have loved Harry Potter since I was very young, and even now I feel that Hogwarts, although fictional, is a place I belong. The plot and characters demonstrate themes of perseverance, growth, and determination. I felt inspired by this beautiful story and wanted my art piece to mirror these ideas. Thank you!

As a young child, I was terrified of tornadoes and extreme weather. As I've grown older, I've fallen in love with it instead! I now want to become a meteorologist and storm chaser. I hope to help save lives through accurate weather prediction. And I hope to inspire young people like myself who are terrified of strong storms they can't control. Tornadoes, like the El Reno tornado of May 31, 2013, inspire me to overcome my greatest fears!
