My name is Emilio and I love drawing because you can tell a story in your own way. I learned about the meteor shower which killed dinosaurs and that inspired me to draw Robo Dino. In this story the meteor shower causes fire and Robo Dino was the only dinosaur to survive. He lost parts of his body but found a robot body that he used to save himself. Now he is happy to start a new life in the city. This drawing makes me feel happy that the dinosaur survived and escaped the fire.

Limitless is an art piece of a beautiful beach with a sunset, no stops, and horizon till the end to show no limits. My inspiration was that many of my days have been spent at the beach; and when I meditated, I would go there in my mind. I love the memories of sand castles and swimming in the waves. Hi, I am Cindyll, and I am 15. For the last year, I have been studying and drawing faces. I found myself especially drawn to eyes. To me, the eye is an amazing creation of beauty and intricacy: the vibrant colors, the way the light reflects on the iris, and the way that they can express emotion that words can’t. I wanted to capture that in my art. In my piece, there is a window reflected in the eye. The eye is truly the window to the soul. You just have to take the time to look.

Watercolor is my favorite kind of art. I made this painting because I love my hometown, New York City. New York can feel loud and exciting, but it is also colorful and full of life. I wanted to paint a small scene that reminds me of that feeling. In the middle of my painting there is a lucky cat holding up both paws. Lucky cats are supposed to bring good luck. In my picture, the cat is wishing good luck to the city and the people who live here. I hope people who see my painting feel happy.

My art was inspired by the wide open prairies of America. On my cross country road trip to South Dakota I found my love for Prairie sunsets. When I think of the Prairie, it makes me feel free like every hill and sunset holds a new beginning or fresh start. After a fire ripped through my community and burned my home, I discovered Mary Cassatt. Mary was not only an inspiring woman, she was also a woman who allowed people to have "modern wings." She inspired others to soar above expectations and young girls to take hold of their futures. In her murals, Mary depicted women defying boundaries set for them and this brought me a sense of belonging. In a world of hurt and hatred, community can be defined by women, for women, and with women at the center.

Hi,I'm Olivia I drew this during Covid while worried about things in the world & we stayed at home a lot. First the virus, sick people, then the fires in our neighborhood, houses burnt, smoke was everywhere. I saw littering everywhere too at the beach and water showed high bacteria. The world felt stressed like me. I wished for something to change all of that. This piece was for a class assignment shooting in black & white. I LOVE vibrant colors, so this project was challenging for me. I’m usually drawn to the smaller details in nature that often get overlooked. I had to take this photo at least 10-15 times to work out the best shot. I had to choose birdseye view vs eye-level. I also took pictures from several different positions. When I downloaded all the photos I took, this one just jumped out at me. I am SO proud of this shot!

My mom wanted to see the northern lights but she wasn't able to see them. So I decided I would just paint them for her!

This is a fiber arts piece I made using fabric I inherited from my Great Grandmother after she passed away. I am inspired by my Great Grandmother's legacy as an artist to create works, try new things, and make mistakes. I love painting, especially with watercolor. My family went on a trip to Japan, and I got to see the beautiful buildings and landscape of the place which inspired me, and I really liked Mount Fuji and the pagodas, both of which I decided to add to my picture. It feels peaceful to look at, since you feel like you are there with the lady in the pink flower kimono, watching her make ripples in the water.
