I drew this artwork as a reminder of both downtown Charleston, SC & downtown Augusta, GA. Downtown Charleston has the cobblestone streets and a candy store by the market I would go to buy candy from with my family. The dress I drew in the window reminds me of an alteration shop in downtown Augusta I once visited and saw a beautiful dress in the window of the store. Both places make me feel nice and sweet because I've had great experiences at those places and loved putting them into my artwork.

In my drawing, I wanted to capture his imagination. I thought about whether he was alive today, and that he would have been ready to graduate high school, work, and travel. However, I was only able to capture his short childhood and things he liked, such as dinosaurs, cars, the beach, and the forest.

I took the risk of at first using alcohol markers, and when I didn’t like it, I decided to use chalk pastels. I had to cut the cat out and glue it on another piece of paper. I found two trees at a place, one was in full bloom and it looked really pretty while, the other was completely dead looking. I was then inspired to draw two trees with one that is full of life, and the other dark. I thought the light bulbs in the back looked pretty, because the place I was at, had a string of light bulbs behind the trees.

Hello! My name is Adalynn! This piece is inspired by my love for animals. While drawing it, I initially struggled because my cat's ears were too tall and skinny. I had mistakenly drawn over the ears with colored pencil, which made it impossible to erase. I overcame this problem by using a sand eraser, which was the perfect tool for the job. Hi,I'm Olivia I drew this during Covid while worried about things in the world & we stayed at home a lot. First the virus, sick people, then the fires in our neighborhood, houses burnt, smoke was everywhere. I saw littering everywhere too at the beach and water showed high bacteria. The world felt stressed like me. I wished for something to change all of that. Learning flags of countries in geography made me think of creating a world peace sign & a hope drawing for things to get better one day.

"Sharing Dreams" shows my original character Skyleaf and the series' most popular cat, Firestar. They are doing the cats' custom of "sharing dreams" with StarClan, the spirits of their ancestors. It shows Firestar as a ghost, representing how even though warrior cats was released years ago, they still inspire fans worldwide.

I made this piece based off of a book that I read. In the book, this girl (Willa), has a satchel, and it is full of all these little trinkets as shown on the artwork, including jewelry and bows. This drawing makes me feel proud, because I think that it turned out really well and really captured the feel of the book.

I knew I was taking a risk with shading but I wanted to improve. I used 2B, 4B, and 6B pencil grades to achieve the dark contrasts that make light shades pop out. I faced many problems such as having trouble with proportions for the pedestal. I hope you consider my art in the final vote and that you were inspired by my image.

Hello! I’m Eva, and I’ve created a drawing inspired by Ejae. The doodles in the center represent lyrics from her songs. She began singing Kpop songs at 3, but was rejected as a Kpop trainee at 23 after 10+ years of very hard work. The stripes represent her hardship. Yet Ejae didn’t give up, and is now a singer/songwriter, and the singing voice of Rumi from “Kpop Demon Hunters”. She can relate to the character a lot, herself. The color splotches represent emotion. I love drawing and music, too.

I am inspired by so many things, everyday: Media—with my favourite mysteries and my sister’s desperately awkward romance anime. Work—with the vast number of stories I see in shifts at the library. Family—with my sister’s brilliant mind and own art pushing me to create. In this piece, I wanted to combine all my inspirations through the lens of a day at my desk, with scenes popping off paper scraps in a self portrait of artistic inspiration.

The main two things that inspired my piece are 1. the stars, and 2. my love for Greek art. I wanted to incorporate the process I once learned the Greeks commonly used to properly create "beautiful" women and "handsome" men (typically the Archimedean spiral) as well as the art worthy equations that explain the creations, movements, and positions of nebulas, energy, and matter. In the end, I wanted the piece to feel inspiring, dramatic, and free.

I grew up in a city and I loved the wonder of these sky-reaching monuments with many people all doing their own thing. I also liked seeing how ecosystems function like jungles and oceans. So I based this piece off of the idea of conserving and having industrialization and cities being in harmony and intertwined with the natural world. It makes me feel hopeful for what humanity can do if we'd allow ourselves to function with nature and actually make an effort to conserve the beauty of ecosystems.

This art makes me feel free and it is named after the fire horse in the piece, Emburn the feeling in the art is fiery and free because that is how Emburn is feeling all the time.
