My piece is a hand-illustrated Macbeth spellbook inspired by Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Created on Procreate and developed into an animation, it reimagines the play from the perspective of the Weird Sisters. I began using Procreate during COVID-19, shaping my digital style and technique. Each page reflects Macbeth’s shift from honor to moral decline, using symbolism such as blood and animal imagery to show his loss of humanity and the lasting consequences of ambition.

My drawing is titled “Time.” It shows a watch my father received from his father and later gave to me. The watch is special because it has been passed down through my family. It reminds me of the strong connection between my grandfather, my dad, and me. When I see it, I think about the special moments we have shared. The watch makes me feel proud and more mature, and it represents our family tradition and the memories we will carry for generations.

As a cancer survivor, I am always trying to make up for my own perceived loss of time during treatment. Often I work like a machine - balancing school, dance, kickline, acrobatics, work, art and time with my friends. Similarly, dance requires perfection. There is no gray. You either nail it or you don’t. This creates tremendous stress which I struggled with for many years. The juxtaposition of the dancer and the machinery represents how I am overwhelmed by my own expectations.

I am inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms, and have presented that in my painting.

I have been learning about different animals, and really like tropical fish. They are different colors and shapes, so I decided to paint one. I chose these colors as they are bright and stand out. I added paint splashes for the bubbles in the sea.

Watercolor is my favorite kind of art. I made this painting because I love my hometown, New York City. New York can feel loud and exciting, but it is also colorful and full of life. I wanted to paint a small scene that reminds me of that feeling. In the middle of my painting there is a lucky cat holding up both paws. Lucky cats are supposed to bring good luck. My name is Harriet! My work is inspired by the Warrior Cats book series. I have met many people because of this series who are also inspired to draw because of it. "Sharing Dreams" shows my original character Skyleaf and the series' most popular cat, Firestar. They are doing the cats' custom of "sharing dreams" with StarClan, the spirits of their ancestors. It shows Firestar as a ghost, representing how even though warrior cats was released years ago, they still inspire fans worldwide.

The scenery is supposed to be very calm and cheerful; however, the focus is also on the marionette. Her expression is very tense, and she seems scared despite her surroundings.
