將積木搭建成一個故事！ - 有趣的識字之路

One of my favorite things about brick building is how it gets my imagination going and gives me so many story ideas!

In this one-time class, we will use inspiration from our brick builds to create comic-strip style stories.

Class starts with an opportunity to share a build brought to class.  Then, I share a build of my own and the start of a simple comic-strip style story that goes with it.  Learners will help me think of ways to add to my story and we will brainstorm ideas for their own build-inspired stories. I will explain the basics of creating a simple comic and then we will spend the rest of the class getting started on our own build-inspired stories.  

The goal is not to complete a finished product by the end of the class, but for learners to get started on this process together, and to ignite an interest in using their builds to inspire more stories at home.  When children naturally bring their literacy development into their play, they can grow into more confident readers and writers over time.
 
This class is designed for children with a range of literacy skills.  The way each child engages with the activities in this class will depend on their stage of literacy development (they may be drawing, writing letters, words, and/or sentences).  If your child is slightly outside of the age range, but you believe they would benefit from this class, feel free to reach out to me to see if it is a match.
