課堂經歷
Does your learner love to build? Would you like them to explore ways to connect building with drawing and/or writing? Then this is the class for you! In this ongoing class, we share our latest Lego creations and use them as inspiration draw and/or write. Each week focuses on a different activity (listed below). This class is designed for children with a range of literacy skills. The way each child engages with the activities presented in class will depend on their stage of literacy development (they may be drawing, writing letters, words, or sentences). The overarching goal of the class is to use enthusiasm for building to get excited about putting ideas down on paper. Each class includes: - Sharing our builds - Introduction to a drawing/writing activity (see the activity list below) - Group brainstorming - Time to work independently (with support from me as needed) - A final opportunity to share Weekly Activities: Week of April 1st: Can you build a jokes, riddle or tongue twister? If there is a specific activity you would like covered in class, please feel free to send me a message. If your learner is slightly younger or older than the suggested age range for this class, feel free to reach out to me to check if this class would be a good match. If you have questions, please send me a message. I hope to see your Lego enthusiast in class soon!
學習目標
The goal of this class is to explore different ways to connect Legos with reasons to write/draw both in class and afterwards at home. I believe that learning to read and write is a process that develops gradually with support, time and authentic opportunities to use their developing skills. Making connections between literacy and play is a way to motivate young learners to practice and continue to develop their literacy skills.
