This class will teach you how to approach new people, manage different personalities within your group of friends, and overcome challenges like jealousy, feeling left out, and peer pressure.
You will learn how to cope with the loss of a friend and how to handle the changes that come with growing up.  

This is a teacher-led class .  The class atmosphere is relaxed, and I strive for students to feel comfortable and willing to participate in an open discussion.  They will be encouraged to participate through questions or comments and role playing.  

What will be taught:

Session 1 : MAKING AND KEEPING FRIENDS 
- What is friendship ?
- How to approach new people ( starting a conversation and keeping it going )
- Managing shyness and fear of rejection 
- Navigating different personalities 
- Healthy vs unhealthy friendships 
- Strengthening friendships 

Session 2. :  OVERCOMING FRIENDSHIP CHALLENGES 
- Conflict ( misunderstandings, jealousy, peer pressure, feeling left out, diverging interests )
- Conflict resolution techniques 
- Loosing friends and moving on ( changing schools, moving away, disagreements, unhealthy friendships )
- Coping strategies after loosing a friend 
- Bullying and peer pressure
