This is an amazing program that will teach students resilient thoughts to help them deal with anxiety, worrisome or looping thoughts.  Students will dive into self-awareness of emotions, what they mean, and how to manage them.  Additionally,
they will practice mindfulness to help them go from “ what if “ questions to “ what is “
going on in the present moment.
This is a highly interactive class. The class atmosphere is relaxing and engaging. 
My intention is for students to feel at ease and comfortable and willing to participate in an open discussion. It’s through questions, answers, and shared thoughts that learning takes place.  Students will learn and be encouraged to share their thoughts 
on each strategy, and will also engage in written activities that promote self awareness. 

In This Course, Students Will Learn :
Session 1.  BE POSITIVE 
- Why do negative thoughts persist
- Transform your negative thoughts 
- Treat yourself with compassion instead of criticism 
- Separating thoughts and feelings from our sense of self-worth

Session 2.  Constant Worry and Anxiety Relief 
- Recognizing triggers and mind tricks.
- Learning to manage feelings
- How “ What If “ can lead to worry and anxiety 
- The connection between thoughts and reactions 
- Being in the present moment vs focusing in the past or future
- Finding calm from impulsive, hyperactive and reactive behaviors 
- Mindfulness calming exercises 

Session 3.  Dealing With Anger, Frustration and Big Reactions to Situations 
- Breaking the cycle of angry reactions 
- How to transform anger and frustration 
- Recognizing the thoughts and emotions beneath angry thoughts and feelings 
- Feeling more in control and empowered 
- Practice conflict resolution in a healthy way

Students do not need any previous knowledge on the topic to enroll in this class.

I am thrilled to work with students and inspire them to make positive changes that will help them grow as individuals. I hold a degree in Speech Communications and Psychology.  For the last ten years I have tutored children, teens, and adults. In 
addition, I have offered life skills workshops for teens that resulted in tremendous 
success.  I have also volunteered in non profit organizations that provide after school 
enrichment programs for elementary students and young teens.
