* Introduction to Blending: Your child will practice blending sounds (such as "c" + "a" + "t" = "cat") to form simple words. We’ll work with consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words to start, making it a fun and achievable way to begin reading.
* Hands-on Blending Activities: Using interactive games, songs, and word-building exercises, children will learn how to put sounds together to make words. These fun activities will engage your child and make learning to blend enjoyable.
* Word Families & Rhyming: Your child will also be introduced to word families (like “-at,” “-it,” and “-ot”) and rhyming words, helping them recognise word patterns and build their vocabulary.
* Start Reading Simple Words: As children begin blending, they will start reading short, simple words, setting the foundation for reading fluency and confidence.
* Engaging & Fun Learning: This taster class is designed to be a lively, interactive experience that encourages your child to explore reading through games, songs, and playful activities that keep them excited to learn.
