- Students will gain knowledge of specific phonics skills presented in the syllabus. Students will demonstrate knowledge of skills through reading and word work in class as well as through completion of optional enrichment sheets given after each session.
I am a certified PreK-3 teacher with an elementary education endorsement and I am licensed to teach all core subjects. I have experience tutoring grades PreK through 6th grade. I also have experience with using many methods of Reading and Math intervention. I am ADD+Vantage math trained and have experience writing and carrying out IEPs for students. I taught in the classroom for six years and have been teaching for over 10 years. A majority of my experience in the classroom has been teaching ELL learners and this is an area that I am passionate about. I hold a Foundational and Advanced TESOL certification and have training in many programs for ELL students. I feel so blessed to be in the field of education and it is so fulfilling to think that I might be making a difference in the lives of my students on their academic journey.
