Hi, I’m Teacher Michele. I’m an enthusiastic, patient, special education teacher who would love to teach your child foundational reading skills based on the Common Core Standards. In this ongoing class we will learn and review letter sounds, sight words and phonemic awareness skills at a Kindergarten level. The general scope and sequence of these foundational skills used in kindergarten reading will be followed. Each week we will learn and review letter sounds, learn 1-2 basic sight...
Students will improve their knowledge of sight words, letter sounds, and phonemic awareness skills.
During my teaching career of 36 years, I have taught reading at all levels K through 5th. I have an elementary credential and several special education credentials, and years of inservice training in reading. Teaching beginning readers is my passion.
