In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to rewrite multi-variable equations in order to solve for specific terms/variables. An example of this type of problem would be rewriting y + 8 = 1/6(x + 6) in order to solve for y. Another example would be rewriting wy = -vxz to solve for z. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using inverse operations to find answers will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a basic understanding of solving multi-step equations before taking this class. Please schedule carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded.
