Do you love Doctor Who? So do I! Come and join me for a discussion about your favourite episodes of Doctor Who, and we can explore the real history and science that are embedded in the countless fantastic storylines.

Doctor Who started off with the premise that this television show would educate young viewers about real history and science in a fun and exciting way. Now, almost 60 years after its premiere, Doctor Who is still doing just that!

The only prior experience required for this class would be to have watched at least one episode of Doctor Who, but please ask your parents or guardians first to make sure that they approve of your viewing choices.

More examples such as these will be added to the schedule as the class/year progresses.

I am a homeschool mother of multiple children. We have always homeschooled and participated in distance education. We came to Outschool in 2018 as learners, and now I am excited to also teach on this platform. I understand the needs of parents of learners here as I am one myself.

I am a native English speaker, and I have degrees, post-graduate, and professional qualifications in the following:

- Law - Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Admission as a Lawyer;
- TESOL - I have completed 8 out of 8 units towards the 150-hour qualification. When I receive my official professional certificate from Arizona State University I will update this here, it is expected to take up to 8 weeks to arrive;
- Criminology;
- I.T. Security;
- Applied Linguistics;
- Investigative Services;
- Security, Terrorism and Counterterrorism;
- Nursing Science.

I have also completed the following short courses which are relevant to the classes I teach here:

- How Forensic Science should speak to the Court;
- Introduction to Key Constitutional Concepts and Supreme Court Cases (USA);
- An Introduction to American Law (USA);
- English Common Law: Structure and Principles (UK);
- Economic Growth and Distributive Justice;
- Water Supply and Sanitation Policy in Developing Countries;
- Reason and Persuasion: Thinking Through Three Dialogues By Plato;
- Technology and Ethics;
- ADHD: Everyday Strategies for Elementary Students;
- The Clinical Psychology of Children and Young People;
- Everyday Parenting: The ABCs of Child Rearing;
- A Brief History of Humankind.

I am also a HUGE fan of all things Doctor Who, and I even named one of my daughters after Verity Lambert, who was the first producer of Doctor Who in 1963, and without whom we would not have this wonderful program to discuss almost 60 years henceforth! Also, did you know that the theme music was written and composed by a composer from Atherton, Australia? Well, my husband is from Atherton, Australia! I also have a TARDIS dress that I may just wear whilst I'm teaching this class, because I love it and there is not really anywhere else that I can wear it!
