This is a class to review Root Words, Suffixes, and Prefixes; in this class students will be working together to "beat the game". We will start with a selection of Root Words students will then decide if they should add a Suffix or Prefix to the Root Word. Students will take turns reading the Root Words and adding a Prefix or Suffix. They will then have opportunity to read the longer word they have created. We will continue taking turns until we complete all the Root Words or until we do not have a Prefix or Suffix that will work with the Root Word. Student will receive assistance from me and they will also be able to assist their classmates as they work together! We will have fun learning together!

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
