In this class, learners will be exposed to vocabulary words that they are likely to encounter in their grade level curriculum, and will practice using these words to complete various activities. Vocabulary knowledge is a key component of improved reading comprehension and writing skills. Learners will be introduced to the words, practice pronouncing the words, read the definition of the word as well as read an example of the word used in a sentence, and apply their word knowledge to complete various activities. Please note that this is a multi-day class with a set schedule. Please review the entire schedule before enrolling, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded. Thank you!

Hello! I have been teaching in the public school setting for the past fifteen years, and tutoring privately for the past six years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and have recently developed skills as an online educator due to school closures.
