Create a beautiful split portrait art drawing and painting based on The Nightmare Before Christmas. We will work step by step together in zoom. I use multiple camera views, so they can see everything I’m doing in real time. Students will be sketching and coloring along with me. First, we will sketch the shape of the design together with pencil. We will mix and layer colors to achieve the look we want. you will need: Paper or canvas (I used a 6x9 watercolor paper) Paint of choice (I used watercolors) Mixing cups or palette Waterproof Black ink pen or marker (like a Copic 0.8…for reference, that’s what I used) Ultra fine point Sharpie works also. A fine brush and a medium brush Pencil A round object to trace the head (I traced a 3.5” circle from a mug)
