*This class is intentionally kept small to provide personalized attention. This lets me focus on each student’s individual needs to grow their technique and mindset. It’s a fantastic fit for kids who thrive with extra guidance and one-on-one interaction!

🎵 Jazz Dance & Memory Hacks: The Secret Dance Technique (Ages 8–12)
💃 All Levels Welcome

Description:
Welcome to a new kind of training where movement meets mind power! This high-energy, fun-filled class blends jazz dance with science-backed memory strategies to help learners improve their ability to remember choreography—and apply those same skills to schoolwork and everyday life. Whether your child is new to dance or already grooves around the living room, this class is a great way to boost both brainpower and confidence through movement.

🚀 Class Experience
This is a high-energy, interactive class with plenty of encouragement, movement, and creativity. I’ll guide students through an easy jazz dance routine while teaching practical memory tools that dancers, athletes, and students can use to learn faster and retain more. It’s not just about dancing—it’s about thinking like a dancer and training the brain, too!

🌟 Why Choose My Classes? 🌟
My classes are intentionally kept small to ensure each student gets personalized attention, so they feel supported and confident throughout the lesson. Some sections are especially small—only 2 students—which allows me to truly focus on each child's unique needs and progress. This is a fantastic opportunity for kids who thrive with extra guidance and one-on-one interaction!

🧠 What Will Be Taught?
Students will learn and practice essential memory-enhancing techniques, including:

✔️ Chunking – Breaking information into smaller, manageable parts to improve recall
✔️ Pattern Recognition – Spotting patterns to strengthen memory and learning
✔️ Focus & Retention – Training the brain to remember more, faster
✔️ Mind-Body Connection – Using movement to enhance cognitive function
✔️ Confidence in Learning – Feeling empowered to tackle new challenges with ease

These skills go beyond dance—they boost success in school, music, sports, and everyday life!

🧠 Class Structure:
Welcome & Introduction to Memory "Hack" (5 min)
Learn about the science-inspired memory trick we'll use in class!
(Learning about a skill and putting it into action right away helps it stick!)

Warm-Up (5 min)
Get moving and focused with a fun, energizing warm-up.

Learn & Dance (15 min)
Learn a beginner-friendly jazz combo while using memory strategies to help it stick in your brain and body.

Memory Boost & Brain Break (5 min)
Wrap up with a quick science-based tip or game for retention and a moment to stretch, reflect, and recap.

👩‍🏫 Teaching Style & Learner Interaction
I teach in a fun, upbeat, and supportive style that gets kids moving and thinking. Students will interact with me throughout the session via:

Live instruction

Movement-based memory games

Verbal check-ins ("What helped you remember that part?")

Opportunities to share their ideas or movement challenges (optional and pressure-free)

This class is movement-focused, not lecture-based. Learners are encouraged to participate fully, ask questions, and have fun while learning.

👪 Parent Notes:
No prior dance experience is required!

Please make sure your child has a safe, open space to move.

Bare feet, jazz shoes, or sneakers are fine.

Water bottle and comfy clothes recommended.

Music used is royalty-free and age-appropriate.

This class uses original choreography and memory techniques rooted in cognitive science—no trademarked content is included.

💡 This class is inspired by my book, "The Secret Dance Technique," which helps dancers grow mental strength alongside physical skill.

Ready to dance, learn, and boost brainpower? Let’s move smarter—together! 💥

學習目標

Understand and apply memory-enhancing techniques through dance.
Develop cognitive skills that can be utilized across different subjects.

I am the author of "The Secret Dance Technique," a book that explores essential mental skills through the lens of dance. It includes extensive research on the topic and interviews with many professionals.
I have also performed worldwide, including at Walt Disney World, Motiongate Dubai UAE, and on a cruise ship. My teaching experience spans two years at an elementary school in Spain, alongside teaching dance across various U.S. states and to a global student base online. These diverse experiences as both a dancer and educator have shown me how vital skills like focus, resilience, creativity, and divergent thinking are—not just in the arts, but in every area of life. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Performance Psychology, with a minor in Dance.
