Ladies and Gentlemen.....It's SHOWTIME! Draw back the curtain and dazzle the audience with high kicks, turns, and famous jazz hands. Taught to a variety of Broadway show tune styles, this class will introduce future Broadway stars to dances of the Great White Way. Some prior dance training would be helpful, even if the classes were in another style of dance (Ballet, Jazz, etc.). Students will gain flexibility, balance, dance technique, knowledge of the stage, and memorization of choreography.
Learners should have loosely fitted and nothing a child could trip over. Please make sure your child takes the class in an open area where they will not accidentally kick something or put themselves in danger. Ideally, the space would not be slippery, but if it is a slippery surface, it is recommended to use non-stick socks or shoes. Parents and guardians should remain nearby to assist and prevent accidents. Having a water bottle nearby is ideal. If class is taken during warmer months, it is ideal to have an air conditioner or fan running to prevent overheating.
