Lesson 1
Staff, Clefs, and Pitch
We'll discuss what makes up a staff, how clefs are used, and how where notes are placed on the staff affect pitch

Lesson 2
Note Values, Measures, and Time Signatures
We'll discuss how different note values affect rhythm, what makes up a measure, and how time signatures affect rhythm

Lesson 3
Time Signatures and Note Values Continued
We'll continue looking at time signatures, adding in 2/4 and 3/4 time. We'll also look at the difference between ties and slurs.

 Week 4
Lesson 4
Note Values Continued
We'll introduce Eighth Note and Dotted Quarter note rhythms. We'll also take a look at repeat signs.

Lesson 5
Dynamics, Tempo Marks, and Articulations
We'll take a look at basic dynamic, tempo, and articulation marks students might encounter in music. We'll also listen to music clips together and discuss how changes in dynamics, tempo, and articulation impact the character and mood of the music.

Lesson 6
Flats, Sharps, and Naturals
In our final class, we'll look at how flats, sharps, and naturals affect notes. We'll also take a look at whole steps and half steps.
