This Level 1 Music Theory class is great for students looking to explore more advanced musical concepts. We'll look at topics including majors scales, the circle of fifths, and intervals over a series of 8 lessons. Learners should have completed either my Intro to Music Theory class or be able to read music in both treble and bass clef. If you are unsure whether your learner is ready for this class, please reach out to me. Lessons will be presented using a piano keyboard as reference, however students do not need to know how to play to complete the class. Each lesson will include listening/ear training activities, as well as a Nearpod assessment. Links to Nearpod lessons will be provided within 48hours of class starting.
學習目標
At the end of this course students should feel comfortable creating major scales, triads, and dominant 7th chords. They should also feel comfortable with more complex rhythm patterns (sixteenth notes, sixteenth rests, etc.) and time signatures (Cut time, 3/8, and 6/8).
